
Otunba Segun Runsewe, the President of the Nigeria Golf Federation, on Friday said Golf could help to reduce crimes and unemployment in Nigeria.
The president disclosed this after an extra-ordinary meeting with the board members, which held at the federation’s secretariat in Abuja.
According to him, the federation is set to organize constant competitions to make youths get busy with golf.
“I believe the youths and most of the leading captains are coming up with one or two programs.
“We are going to support them, golf alone can help us reduce crime, unemployment in the country only if we make them busy through sports activities.
”Golf also can positively affect the growth of economy in the country.

“If they don’t play golf in South Africa and Dubai, it will affect their economy because they have a lot of professionals who live on golf.
“We also have to do that now to improve the standard of living of our people through golf,” he said.
He said as the new president of the federation, he would unite every golfer in the nation.
