A former minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr Mahmud Tukur, has passed away.
According to reports, Tukur died from an undisclosed ailment in the early hours of Friday.
It was learnt that Tukur, who was a former Director at Cadbury Nigeria, was rushed to a hospital in Abuja from his base in Kaduna.

The deceased also served as a Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano.
Mahmud Tukur, until his death, was a close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari.
