Kaduna airstrike: FG should set up independent probe panel, says Yusuff

Director-General of the Civil Society Organisation on Community and Humanitarian Enhancement Initiative (CSCHEI), Hon. Kunle Yusuff, has called on the Federal Government and the military authorities to carry out an independent and thorough investigation into the military drone attack that killed over 100 Nigerians in Tudun Biri Village, Kaduna State, last Sunday.

Yusuff, in a statement in Abuja, emphasised the need for the investigation to determine the cause of the incident, identify those responsibly, and hold them accountable.

He also urged the Federal Government and the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) to demonstrate empathy toward the families of the victims and those injured in the recent military drone attack in Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State.

He further told the government and the military authorities to compensate the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident and also take care of the injured victims.

He said, “We are deeply concerned about the recent military drone attack that killed about 85 civilians in Tudun Biri village, Kaduna State, and we are appealing to the government and the Chief of Defence Staff to take immediate action to investigate the incident and bring justice to the affected families.

“This incident is not only a violation of the right to life and freedom of worship, but it also underscores the need for greater accountability and transparency in military operations.”
