Commissioner escapes death by whiskers in Enugu

Gunmen have killed two Police Inspectors attached to the Enugu State Commissioner for Lands, Hon. Chidi Aroh.

The dead policemen are Inspector David Adabu and one Inspector Solomon.

The commissioner and his security were said to have been ambushed by the gunmen in Anambra State while returning from a visit to the state with the Commissioner.

The source said the gunmen had ambushed a Hilux van among the convoy of the commissioner in one of the communities in Anambra and in the process, shot and killed the officers while the Commissioner was lucky to escape in his Jeep.

It was learned that the hoodlums made away with the riffles of the police officers.

The Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe (ASP) said the Command has no details of the incident.

Hon. Aroh when contacted on phone promised to return the call as he was busy in a meeting.
