Community leader tasks mothers on time management

A Community Woman Leader, Mrs. Grace Anagor, on Friday advised mothers to develop good time management to enable them to combine home care effectively with their official duties, for a better society.

Anagor gave the advice in an interview on the sidelines of her daughter, Miss Chioma Anagor’s marriage ceremony at Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra.

According to the woman leader, mothers are the homemakers and their first responsibility is to raise a godly and sound home to ensure a safe environment.

Anagor described time management as the process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities to increase growth, effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.

“A good woman, wife material should factor home management in her time budget in spite of her tight work schedule to provide sound home management,” she said.

Anago urged her daughter to share her time very well, to cover her work schedule with her home care, as the tool of happy marriage.

“Your husband’s belly and a well-kept home is another attraction to keep your marriage filled with fun,” she advised.

Anagor noted that effective time management was a way of ensuring a successful life, saying that people needed to manage their time effectively, either at home or at the business centers.

Also speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Ngozi Imegwu, a Guest, said that government agencies, employers, and relevant organizations should step up sensitization on time management to awaken the consciousness to manage it effectively.

According to her, proper time management eliminates unnecessary activities to maximize productivity both at home and at work.

“Good time management enables one to complete more tasks within a time frame, lowers stress, and leads to career success,” Imegwu said. (
