Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey has broken the Guinness world record for the title of ‘longest cooking marathon by an individual’.
Hilda, on Monday, surpassed the former record breaker, Lata Tondon who set the record in 2019 with 87 hours 45 minutes.
The chef started the cooking marathon tagged Cook-a-thon on Thursday, May 11th, at the Amore Gardens, Lekki amidst cheers from supporters around the country.
Although she has won the title, the chef aims to set a new record of 96 hours to set a new record as the first individual to spend that amount of time on cooking.
