The chairman of Esan Central local government council, Mr Waziri Edokpa, may have been kidnapped.
He was allegedly kidnapped in the early hours of Friday along the Benin-Abuja highway.
The council chairman is a Professor with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
