
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has granted embattled former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor Godwin Emefiele permission to travel outside of Abuja.
Howver, the court added that he must remain within the borders of Nigeria.
This is coming after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed a fresh 20-count amended charge against him at the FCT High Court on Thursday.
Emefiele is facing corruption charges for allegedly awarding a contract for the procurement of 43 vehicles worth N1.2 billion between 2018 and 2020.
The court had on December 24, 2023 granted Emefiele bail in sum of N300 million with two sureties in like sum.
