A Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday ordered that a 67- year-old man, Sunday Ojuko (A.K.A. Baba Karara) be remanded in a correctional center for alleged threat to life.
Chief Magistrate Saka Afunso, gave the order following an application filed by an officer of the Department of State Services, Mt Olaolu Olayinka.
Afunso adjourned the matter until Wednesday and Oct.7.
Earlier in the exparte motion, Olayinka prayed the court to remand Ojuko pending completion of the investigation and the arrest of others, who are at large.
The prosecution also said that the case file will be returned to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions(DPP) for legal advice.
Olaolu informed the court that Ojuko destroyed the forestry reserve and planted cannabis Sativa at the Ekiti State Conservation Site, Ise Ekiti, and threatened some rangers deployed by the Federal Government to protect the reserve.

The threat, he said, placed the rangers in fear of death, violence, or bodily harm.
He said that an accomplice of Ojuko, Johnson Hanson (a.k.a Skido) who was arrested and arraigned on Sept. 10.
The offense, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 11(a) of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act, Cap N30, Laws of the Federation, 2004 and section 24(2) (e) of Cyber Crimes (Provision, Prevention) Act,2015.
