
A Magistrates’ Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Thursday ordered that one Matcha Aliu, 22, be remanded in a correctional centre for alleged murder.
Aliu, whose residential address was not provided, is charged with conspiracy and murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Abimbola Amole-Ajimoti, did not take the plea of the defendant for want in jurisdiction.
Amole-Ajimoti directed the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.
She adjourned the case until Aug. 22, for mention.
Overland Airways plane catches fire midair
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 23, at Budo Tailor Ofiki, via Ago-Are area, Saki.
Amusan alleged that Aliu unlawfully caused the death of one 21-year-old, man, Idris Isa, by matcheting him on his head.
He said the offence contravened sections 324 and 319 of the criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN
