The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State on Tuesday said the party’s caretaker committee chairman in Khana Local Government Area, Mr. Hyacinth Nwiye, has been kidnapped.

The state public secretary of the APC, Mr. Ogbonna Nwuke, said Nwiye was kidnapped from his home on Easter Monday.

Nwuke appealed to the kidnappers to release him unconditionally. He said the incident had exposed the failure of government to provide security at the grassroots.

The police in Port Harcourt were yet to confirm the incident.
