An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday, ordered the remand of Ojo Abiola, 28, Adeyemi Tayo, 28, and Adelusi Adewale, 38, at the correctional centre in Ado-Ekiti over the alleged robbery.
The defendants, of unknown addresses, are facing a robbery charge.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp Olubu Apata, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on Sept.18 in Ado-Ekiti.
He alleged that the defendants robbed Mr Akinyele Ifemide of his phones and money with the threat.
Apata said that the offence contravened Section 1 of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act Cap.398 LFN 1990.
The prosecutor urged the court to remand the defendants in the correctional centre pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The plea of the defendants was not taken.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Afunso Saka, ordered the remand of the defendants in the correctional centre, pending issuance of legal advice from the DPP.
He adjourned the case until Nov. 4 for mention.
