COVID-19: NSCDC boss urges Nigerians to get vaccinated

Dr Ahmed Audi, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has urged Nigerians yet to receive their COVID-19 jabs to get vaccinated, to prevent the spread of the disease.
Audi made the call at the opening of a Train the Trainer workshop on COVID-19 Response, in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said that the Federal Government had placed measures to tackle the pandemic and made vaccines available.
Audi said that the sensitization workshop was to make the public understand that the disease was serious and should be dealt with promptly.
He encouraged citizens to get vaccinated as it would help prevent the spread of the disease.
” We also intend to reach out to communities in the suburbs,” he added.
