C’River 2023: PDP support group reclaim C’River launched in Ogoja

Ahead of next year’s gubernatorial elections in Cross River State, a support group Reclaim Cross River State has been launched.

The support group is a socio-political organization within the state PDP that is working for the success of the gubernatorial ambition of Professor Sandy Onor.

The launching which took place in Ogoja attracted leading stakeholders in the state including Senators Sandy Onor and Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe.

Speaking at the inauguration, a gubernatorial hopeful and Senator representing Cross River Central, Professor Sandy Ojang said the state has never had it so bad.

He said they are determined to reclaim the state stressing that with God nothing is impossible.

“We are determined to reclaim the state through seeking the people’s mandate as we have been doing.

“2023 is for the PDP and I want all of us to be part of it.

“The state needs change because we have never had it so bad. Thus, the an urgent need to reclaim it and this is one sure way of doing it.

“I am optimistic that God is with us in this project and with him nothing is impossible,” Professor Onor said.

On his part, Senator representing Cross River North, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe said the present administration in the state has “the spirit of self acquisition of material things”.

He called on the people to join hands with the group and be remembered as part of history that will be made in the state come 2023.

Earlier in his remarks, the Director-General of Reclaim Cross River, Paul Ishabor, Esq, said the fledging political support group is committed to restoring the eroding glory of the Cross River state.

Ishabor, said the group is poised to redress the devastation in the state arising from maladministration, lack of focus, and outright insincerity.
