Nigerian singer, David Adeleke also known as Davido has postponed his highly anticipated music festival, AWAY.

In a statement signed by the management of the singer, the festival tagged:”Are We Africans Yet?”, which was scheduled to hold  November 18th, 2023 at the Atlanta’s State Farm Arena has been postponed till Saturday November 18, 2023.

According to the statement ,the re-scheduling of the event was to enable the singer to spend time with his family and loved ones.

Recall that Davido lost one of his children with his ex-fiance, Ifeanyi Adeleke on Monday October 31, after he drowned in a pool at their home in Banana Island, few weeks after his birthday ceremony.

The statement reads“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023.

“It is necessary for Davido to spend time with his family and loved ones at this time. To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date.

“Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future”,
