Deacon Clarke honoured by Obazu Town Welfare Union

An astute administrator, humanitarian and great philanthropist, Deacon James Louis Clarke, has Charged his kindreds both home and abroad to always think of their root in whatever they are doing in life.
He made the charge while receiving an award from the Obazu Town Welfare Union in Lagos, on Sunday, 8 December, 2024, during their end of year party, Investiture and awards.
Deacon Clarke reminded them of the need for their immediate constituency to feel their impact now that they are alive rather than when they are gone.
According to him, Charity begins at home hence, whatever one achieves in his or lifetime and the immediate community did not feel the impact is mere vanity.
As an aviation expert and icon of love, Deacon Clarke has used his position in the airline industry to pave way for some of his willing kinsmen to travel abroad to seek greener pasture and they are now doing well.
As a man of God, Deacon Clarke’s humility, loving, caring, compassionate, kind, humane, selfless , generous, respectful and hospitable lifestyle which made him a great ambassador of the Nigeria Police Force, equally contributed immensely in his community, the Obazu autonomous Community honouring him with an award of excellence.
Though one award, so many, Deacon Clarke, who has in the last one year declined so many awards, said he cannot reject this particular award which is coming from his kinsmen.
He thanked the Obazu Town Welfare Union for the recognition and honour bestowed on him.
As family man, husband and father whose beautiful wife accompanied to the occasion, he promised to continue in his good works.
In his address at the occasion, Chairman of Obazu Town Welfare Union, Lagos, Ugochukwu Ihemeje, said the Union decided to honour Deacon Clarke and some of their members in recognition of the roles they played in moving the Association forward, adding that those chosen as Patrons, grand Patrons and awardees were based on merit.
He advised them to see their recognitions as a Clarion call for more service to the community.
“it is a thing of joy that 15 months into my administration,, we are witnessing the Investiture vof Patrons and grand Patrons as well as giving merit award for to deserving members.
“Those that we are celebrating today were selected based on their service to the community and our association.is proud of them, their input and contributions. We look forward for them doing more philanthropic work for Obazu Town,” he concludes
