It was gathered that the development followed the submission of an assessment report on the aspirants by an Evaluation Committee led by Prof. Victor Peretomone.

Sources said that the two aspirants were arrived upon following a robust deliberation of the report by critical stakeholders of the Ijaw nation at the Abuja residence of Chief Edwin Clark on Monday while the sole aspirant is expected to be decided upon by the leadership at the appropriate time.
