Desist from character assassination, group tells Gololo

Charity and advocacy Group, legally registered in Nigeria, under the banner of “Kalthum Foundation for Peace (KFP),” has tasked Dr. Garus Gololo, to desists from assassinating character of prominent statesmen to score cheap political goal and achieve a predetermined end.

Amb. Ummu Kalthum Rabiu, Founder, Kalthum Foundation for Peace (KFP), in a statement on Monday, said that Mr. Garus Gololo’s unguarded outbursts and

media war against the former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Tukur Buratai Rtd, is not only uncalled for but condemnable.

The group which, said that it collaborates with the military in the areas of non kinetic approaches to counterterrorism and counter-insurgency operations in the North-East, also alleged that Dr.Gololo’s objective is to tarnish the hard earned reputation and verifiable track records of former COAS.

According to the statement, KFP wants to set the record straight and make it abundantly clear that troops allowance and welfare under Buratai was at its peak and everything was done through the banks to block corruption.

The statement added that former President Muhammadu Buhari, did his best to procure arms and all gears needed for the troops to checkmate the insurgents thus the victory Nigeria recorded under General Buratai as COAS.

“This was acknowledged by the World Terrorism Index and other reputable international bodies.

General Buratai did not only ensure that troops’ allowance was paid as at when due but also introduced cigarette allowance of N6000 monthly to them to boost their morale,” the statement explained.

Amb. Rabiu, advised the public to disregard the mischievous and unguarded utterances against Buratai by Dr. Gololo.
