The development of housing estates in Sapata Village Excision, near the Victoria Garden City, Lekki has been suspended by the Lagos State Government.
This was announced by the Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development and is a response to the report about the area.
Due to the construction of a major road in the area, a number of developers are indiscriminately working on constructing estates without getting the proper layout approval, and this is in contravention of state planning laws.
The suspension of the housing estate development is hoped that orderly and nub sustainable development would be achieved in the area.
