The Ondo State PDP is trying to calm a dispute over the choice of running mate ahead of the state governorship election in two months time.
Mr Eyitayo Jegede, who emerged as the party’s flag bearer for the election, had announced Ikengboju Gboluga, as his running mate on his Twitter handle. He went on to claim it was a divine choice.
But this has been met with unhealthy responses from party members, especially from Mr Banji Okunomo who lost the primary to Jegede. Mr Okunomo is of the opinion that Jegede should have chosen from one of the contestants of the primary, and Jegede is only stubborn to push on with his choice.
