An unidentified man has made a disturbing assertion that domestic violence is a way of correcting women.
In a video sighted by ThisNigeria, the man narrates how he got into a fight with his wife, not knowing she was pregnant.
According to him, domestic violence is a form of “corrective measures” that some women even love.
He goes on to describe a personal incident in which he engaged in physical violence with his wife, an incident that he claims led to her pregnancy.
“When you say domestic violence, when a man pounds his wife, when a man beats his wife, it’s just a correction, it’s just like corrective measures.
“I’ve always said some marriages have been configured that way, you can say anything you like, but it’s a pattern of life.
“Actually, the woman I married today, I’ve engaged in beating her one day that beating led to pregnancy.
“The fight we fought to both of us was tired. This fight went on for like 3 hours, and both of us dragged each other we went to the kitchen I drank water, and Nobody was there to separate fight.
“That beating led to pregnancy. So at the end of the day, we fight and she says she’s living at her father’s house. I said no problem, go. She left. I went to drop her,” he said.
