Former United States President, Donald Trump, has returned to X platform, formerly known as Twitter.
The embattled Trump announced his return with a post of his picture and the caption, “Mug Shot – August 24, 2023. Election interference. Never Surrender. Donaldjtrump.com.”
Trump’s personal account was permanently suspended by former owner of X, Jack Dorsey following the alleged calls for violence by then-president Trump in response to the invasion of the Capitol by his supporters.

Other social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, and Snapchat, also did same while YouTube temporarily suspended his channel.
The removal of his account led Trump to create his own social platform, Truth Social.
However, in a surprise move, not totally unrelated to his 2024 presidential ambition, Trump posted for the first time since January 8, 2021.
