A Professor of Engineering, who is also the proprietor of Joint Professional Training and Support International (JPTS), Christopher Imumolen, has challenged the youths appointed by President Bola Tinubu to exhibit their creative talents to convince Nigerians that the younger generation has what it takes to transform the country.
The don, whose educational institution had trained over 30,000 certified professionals, gave the charge at a news conference in Abuja yesterday.
He commended President Tinubu for listening to the clamour from Nigerians for youth’s inclusivity government, by making sure that 85 per cent of the appointments made so far were made up of youths.
Imumolen, the presidential candidate of the Accord Party, was the youngest of the 18 contestants for the number seat in the country.

He said, “President Bola Tinubu has hearkened to the yearnings of the youths by appointing many younger people into his government.
“What Nigerians expect from the appointees is for them to exhibit their creative talents by thinking outside the box to convince Nigerians that the youths have what it takes to turn things around positively in the interest of the nation.
“The responsibility of creating a positive change now rests on their shoulders. They should not disappoint the youths who have been clamouring for youths’ inclusiveness in the affairs of Nigeria.
“They must show Nigerians that they have what it takes to create a positive change in the social, economic, and political landscape of the country.
“There are lots of challenges confronting Nigeria like the issues of insecurity, hunger, starvation, and massive infrastructural deficit.
“The youths are expected to deploy technology, artificial intelligence among others to address the country’s challenges”
He said his purpose in contesting the last presidential election was to make use of youths to run the affairs of the country since they possess the energy, knowledge, and exposure to turn things around in Nigeria.
Imumolen said, “We fought for youth inclusion in governance and that is what President Bola Tinubu is currently doing.
“I am the youngest presidential candidate in the last presidential election. What I was trying to drive is that youths have to be included because they carry the creativity, energy, exposure, and knowledge to drive our country to the next destination.
“If you see the appointment coming up now, 85 per cent of the appointments were given to the youths. It is very encouraging and I love it.
