Edo deputy governor loses mother at 95

The Deputy Governor of Edo, Dennis Idahosa, on Wednesday announced the death his mother, Madam Esther Idahosa (née Enabulele).

Her passing was announced in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Friday Aghedo.

According to Aghedo, the matriarch died peacefully on Wednesday (Today), at the age of 95.

”Mama Idahosa was a venerable matriarch who lived a long, fulfilled, and impactful life defined by unwavering faith, strength of character, and devotion to her family and the community at large.”

He said that the deceased, who hailed from Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo, was a source of inspiration to many, with a legacy rooted in strong values and service.

He added that the family expressed gratitude to God for her life and requested prayers and understanding as they mourn her passing.

”Details of the funeral arrangements will be announced later,” he said. (NAN)
