The crisis in the Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party is gradually taking effect as not less than 35 members of the Party in Aibiokunla Ward 2 of Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State on Sunday defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC sighting deceit and unending wait for promises that will never be met.
The leader of the defectors Mr. Odigie who said they were deceived with the promise of paradise on earth to support the PDP in the last gubernatorial election, and having realized after one year that the government who promised paradise cannot lift a grain of sand towards development, they thought it wise to return to the party that has given them all they can boast of in the community.
On her part, the women coordinator of the decampees Mrs. Alice Otakhoegbomwan said they are tired of waiting on multiple and repeated promises from PDP leaders in the Ward while Rt. Hon. Patrick Aisowieren of the APC continues to turn out projects in physical infrastructures and human capital development in favor of Oza community.

Receiving the defectors into the APC, leaders of APC in Oza and the Ward Chairman Mr. Nnamdi Otoboh emphasized the APC slogan of equal treatment as there is no such thing as new and old like you have in the PDP.
Otoboh encouraged the decampees to talk to the microscopic few left in PDP in the Ward to return home since it is now abundantly clear that the PDP’s promised development is only on tapes and papers floating on social and conventional media.
