Edo2020: ADP ask tribunal to declare Governor Obaseki unqualified

The Action Democratic Party, ADP and its candidate has asked the Edo election tribunal to declare the PDP candidate and Governor of Edo state, Mr Godwin Obaseki as not qualified to contest the September 19, 2020 Edo governorship election

The party is one of the 14 INEC registered political parties which participated in the election in which Governor Obaseki was declared winner.

Joined in the petition dated 5th October 2020, by a team of 7 Lawyers, as respondents, are the INEC, the PDP and its candidate, Mr Obaseki, and the APC and its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu

According to the petition, ADP wants the tribunal to declare that by virtue if his non-qualification, the votes credited to the PDP candidate should be null and void and of no value.#
