EFCC boss, Olukoyede leads walk against corruption

The chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede on Thursday engaged its stakeholders in a Road Walk.

The development was made known on the X.com account of the anti-graft agency where images of the walk was posted.

In the photos provided, a group of people with a banner captioned, “Walk against corruption. Engage whistle blowing for corruption free Nigeria,” were seen on the streets.

Also, the accompanying caption of the post says, “Happening Now
Nigerians across the nation have embarked on a Walk against Corruption this morning.

Earlier, Olukoyede had said the walk is aimed at drawing attention to the importance of the whistle-blowing policy as a core component of Nigerian corruption prevention strategy.

It would be recalled that the Whistle-blowing Policy in Nigeria, was launched on December 21, 2016 by the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Finance as an anti-corruption initiative that encourages people to voluntarily disclose information about fraud, bribery, looted government funds, financial misconduct, abuse, embezzlement of government assets and any other form of corruption or theft to the government.
