EFCC declares former Power Minister, Agunloye wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Minister of Power and Steel, Olu Agunloye, wanted over an alleged $6 billion fraud, shocking the nation.

Agunloye served from 1999 to 2003.

The anti-graft agency has accused him embezzling funds meant for the nation’s power sector development.

The agency urged the public to provide information on his whereabouts.

“The EFCC has declared Olu Agunloye, former Minister of Power and Steel, wanted over an alleged case of corruption and forgery.

“Agunloye is alleged to have embezzled the sum of $6 billion while serving as minister between 1999 and 2003.

“The agency urges anyone with information about Agunloye’s whereabouts to contact the nearest EFCC office.” the EFCC stated.
