The Ekiti State House of Assembly Committee on Environment and Natural Resources has lauded the efforts of the Ekiti State Government at curtailing erosion and flood problems in Ikere-Ekiti.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Tunde Idowu gave the commendation during a tour of the ongoing channelization works to control erosions in Ikere-Ekiti as the rainy season approaches. Idowu expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of work done; noting that the perennial havoc inflicted on the communities by the Osun and Aiya rivers during rainy seasons was a
thing of the past with the level of intervention.
