No fewer than 15 Ekiti athletes are expected to participate in the Olympic qualifiers in Lagos for placements in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Alhaji Qu’oozeem Oladapo, Media Coordinator, Team Ekiti, said this in a statement on Thursday, in Ado-Ekiti.
Oladapo said that athletes for the qualifiers included Adekalu Fakorede, 100 metres and 200 metres; Abimbola Akinleye, 100 metres and 200 meters; Igbagbo Owolabi, 200 metres and 400 metres
Also, Adewole Babatunde will feature in 100 and 200 metres while Oluwabamidele Ajayi will participate in 200 metres and 400 metres.
Others are Kehinde Ajayi, 400 metres, Niyi Ogunleye 400 metres, Taiwo Lawal, 400 metres, Feyisayo Olawale, 100 metres and 200 metres while Adetutu Aladeloye will go for 100 and 200 metres.

Olajumoke Oribamise, 400 metres and 800 metres; Kamilat Oyebamiji, 100 metres and 200 metres; Lilly Fasanmi for 100 metres, Blessing Aguda, 100 metres and 200 metres and Seun Otitoju 100 metres
He said the athletes had been training hard for places at the competition under coach Sehubo Ekundayo, Director of Coaching.
