Breaking: Buhari orders rescue of students knapped in Niger
President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Armed Forces and Police to rescue the students and staff of Government Science College (GSC) Kagara, in Niger State that were kidnapped by bandits on Tuesday night.
According to his aid he said that the president asked a team of security chiefs to coordinate the rescue operation of yet to be ascertained number of staff and students.
Bashir Ahmad Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media said on Twitter: ”Following reports of the brazen attack on Government Science College, Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Armed Forces and Police, to ensure immediate and safe return of all the captives.

”The President has also dispatched to Minna, Niger State a team of security chiefs to coordinate the rescue operation of yet to be ascertained number of staff and students of GSC, Kagara and meet with state officials, community leaders, as well as parents and staff of the College.”
Reports have it that the bandits in military uniforms stormed the school Tuesday night, overpowered the security guard, before abducting the students.
As at Wednesday, about 200 students have not been accounted for including three teaching staff, one clerk, wife and six children of a staff member in the college.
