Senator Shehu Sani has advised Nigerians against travelling outside the country with their housemaids.
Sani gave the advice in reaction to the organ harvesting case involving Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice.
ThisNigeria reported that the couple were arrested and charged to court by the Metropolitan Police over alleged organ harvesting involving a minor.

Reacting to the situation, Sani took to his Facebook page and wrote “People who are in the habit of traveling with their young Housemaids abroad to help them take care of their kids should be careful.
“If the Housemaids decide to report that they were trafficked, the authorities of that country will step into the matter.
“And it will take you a long time to get out of trouble even if you are innocent.”
