The vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has assured Nigerians that the 2023 general election will be conducted peacefully.

Osinbajo gave the assurance during the 2022 Service of Nine Lessons and Carols which was held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre in Abuja.

The vice president who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, implored Nigerians not to despair over the recent challenges bedeviling the country.

According to mustapha, Osinbajo expressed hope that the country would overcome the difficulties  as the elections and population census scheduled to hold in 2023 would be conducted peacefully.
