The C.E.O of Tesla and the world’s richest man Elon Musk says he has pulled it of the $44 billion deal with Twitter on Friday, July 8th.

Musk made the decision following twitter’s failure to provide information on fake account.

ThisNigeria reported that Musk had temporarily put on hold the Twitter deal, pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users.

However, Twitter says it is committed to closing the deal and it will  take legal action to ensure Elon Musk buys company on the price and terms previously agreed.
