
Imo state ex-Governor and former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Emeka Ihedioha has announced his withdrawal from the state PDP gubernatorial primaries
Ihedioha made the announcement in a letter dated 27th March, 2023.
He stated that his decision was borne out of the request made by the National Working Committee of the party to produce a consensus candidate for the governorship election.
Recall that Ihedioha was sacked by the Supreme Court in 2020 and was replaced by Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressive Congress (APC)
