Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis could be heading to Nottingham Forest’s exit door after being considered surplus to requirement by the Premiership side.
Jonjo Shelvey and Remo Freuler could also join the Nigerian international at the exit door before the close of the summer transfer window as both players are considered surplus to requirements as well.
Dennis was outstanding for Watford prior to his move to the City Ground but failed to live up to expectations in his first season with the club as he struggled for game time and goals.
Of his 25 appearances for the two-time European champions, Dennis started only nine and was on the scoresheet on two occasions over the course of the campaign.
It was gathered that Nottingham Forest are keen on getting rid of the three players to make room for new signings and also to ensure they comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.
Dennis joined Nottingham Forest for a fee believed to be in the region of €15 million and has three years left on his contract.
Nottingham Forest players, including Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, have reported for pre-season training ahead of Saturday’s friendly versus Notts County.
