#EndSARS: “Activists by day, govt padi by night”, Samklef blasts celebrities

Music producer, Samklef has called on celebrities to stop using the #EndSARS campaign for their personal gains.
He made the call in a series of tweets on Wednesday.
This was as Nigerians remembered the unfortunate shooting of unarmed protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, 2020.
Many celebrities took to their social media pages to commemorate the incident and call for justice.
However, Samklef accused the celebrities of fighting for the people during the day and dining with the government at night.
“Celebrities should stop using this #EndSARS for their own promotional game. How many of dem visited the family that died?”

“Activists by day… government Padi by night.”
“But Lagos state government do show and some of your celebrities go the show now.”
“But ur influencers go still collect money for this same government hand. If u die for Nigeria u die for nothing. No justice,” he tweeted.
