The Ethiopian government has reportedly placed a ban on visa on arrival for Nigerians.

The ban was contained in a memo sent by the Ethiopian airlines to their travel partners on Tuesday, October 4th 2022.

According to the Ethiopian airlines, travellers from the country are expected to get their visa from the Ethiopian embassy in Abuja before embarking on their journey.

The memo reads” please be informed that effective immediate  no more visa on arrival for Nigerians citizens.

“Passengers are advised to obtain their visa from the Ethiopian embassy in Abuja before traveling”.

They,however, revealed that passengers transitioning overnight in Addis Ababa are not affected by the ban.
