Ex-minister Kemi Adeosun loses husband

Former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has lost her husband, Mr. Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, who died in Lagos on Wednesday at the age of 62.

His death was announced by the Adeosun family in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by Reverend C. A. Adeosun on behalf of the family.

The family described the late Adeosun as a distinguished businessman and devoted Christian whose life was marked by integrity, generosity and unwavering faith.

According to the statement, he was committed to his family, community and the service of God throughout his lifetime.

“He was a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him.

“He lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community,” the statement read.

The family said he is survived by his wife, former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun; his children; and his siblings, including the founder of Kuramo Capital, Mr. Adewale (Wale) Adeosun, as well as other relatives, friends and associates.

While expressing gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and condolences, the family appealed for privacy as it mourns its loss.

It added that details of the funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be announced at a later date.
