Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philp Shaibu, has mourned the death of Mr Rasheed Shoduja Balogun, General Manager, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), describing his passing as a huge loss to the football family and Nigeria in general.
According to the sports-loving Deputy Governor, Balogun was a dogged sports administrator who was passionate about Nigeria football and wholeheartedly demonstrated commitment to the promotion of 3SC to the elite league.
His vision for the return of 3SC to the elite league of Nigeria football after so many years of relegation to the lower division was actualized at the last super-six play-off in Enugu, to round off the last football season.
Shaibu lamented the sudden demise of Balogun, stressing that he did not live to enjoy the fruits of his hard labour over the promotion of 3SC to the elite division.
