Father, son beg Nigerians to donate N392m for Cyprus’ school fee

A man, Idongesit Bassey and his son, Utibeima Idongesit Bassey have called on Nigerians to help them raise the sum of N392,100,000 (180,000 Euro) to pay the school fees of the son who recently gained admission for a pilotage course at the Kyrenian University, Cyprus.

In a video posted on Facebook, the duo appealed for support, stressing that the fee is for a total of four sessions.

The 15-year-old boy who is from Akwa Ibom State, acknowledged that the “fee is too high for my father to pay for me”.

The video was captioned, “Please Nigerians kindly help my son, he has admission at Kyrenia University, Cyprus for a Pilotage course, the school fee for the four-year course is 180,000 Euro and in Nigeria currency is #392,100,000. The school is resuming on February 10th, 2025. The school account number is there for the payment or you contact the father with this phone number, 070645598**, Idongesit Bassey Akpan. Thank you and God all the Nigerian, Amen.”

However, some Nigerians have slammed the duo for demanding an outrageous amount of support.

Some of the Nigerians in the comment section, knocked the father and son, noting that the money they requested is sufficient to sponsor more Nigerian students abroad.
