Ondo State House of Assembly invaded by thugs

Activities at the Ondo state House of Assembly was disrupted as thugs invaded and blocked entry into the building.

The thugs comprised mainly of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and were present at the House of Assembly complex to ensure that the nine House of Assembly members who were initially suspended because of their loyalty to Agboola Ajayi, the deputy governor, would not gain entry into the building.

It is reported that Bamidele Oleyeloogun, the Speaker of the House, was the one who instigated the presence of the thugs.

This act is clearly in defiance of Judge Ademola Bola’s ruling that overturned the indefinite suspension of the lawmakers.
