The Federal Government of Nigeria has commiserated with the Government and people of the Republic of Italy over the demise of their former Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi.
Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Francisca Omayuli, in a statement, said that the former Italian leader, who passed on, on Monday, 12th June, 2023, was a source of great inspiration to many, both within and outside his country, particularly in the areas of sports and media development.

The relations between Nigeria and Italy, the statement said, remained cordial and mutually beneficial during his time in power.
The Federal Government of Nigeria, therefore, extends its condolences to the family of the late former Prime Minister and prays for the repose of his soul.
