By Nathaniel Zaccheaus, Abuja

The former senator who represented Adamawa North Senatorial District in the 10th Senate before the Court removed him, Elisha Abbo has threatened legal action if his alleged blackmailers refused to tender a published apology within 72 hours.

Abbo’s threat followed his alleged involvement in sex tapes, which he equally denied.

A lady, Wange David, had, in a viral video interview, accused the senator of sexual exploitation, distribution of intimate videos, revenge pornography, and blackmail.

But Abbo, has, through his lawyers, threatened to sue the woman over her allegation that he made sex tapes with her.

In a recent interview, Wange said she made 32 sex tapes with him.

She accused him of leaking a particular clip that was making the rounds on the Internet because “he is the only one who has access to that video.”

But the former lawmaker has since denied the allegation.

In a letter issued by Abbo’s legal representative, Odiyowvi Osusu, the former lawmaker claimed that the defamatory statements had caused significant damage to his personal and professional reputation, as well as misleading the public.

He noted that the video in question was shared on the platform “Naija Police: U” on September 4, 2024, while the interview was aired by TrustTV News on YouTube the following day.

Part of the letter read, “We write upon the express instructions of Senator Elisha Abbo, former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing Adamawa North Senatorial District (from now on referred to as ‘our client.’
