FG vows to bring perpetrators of Plateau killing to book

The Federal Government (FG), has vowed to bring perpetrators of Plateau killing to book.

The Nigerian authority made this vow in a statement signed by the Director of Information & Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, Mr Henshaw Ogubike.

He noted that the Minister of State for Defence, Dr Muhammed Bello Matawalle, his Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation counterpart, Dr Betty Edu, and the Service Chiefs, led a powerful Federal Government delegation to visit and commiserate with the government and good people of Plateau State over the sad event that occurred recently in Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

Mr. Ogubike recalled that there was an attack on communities in three Local Government Areas of Plateau state, where many lives were lost.

The two Ministers with the delegation, the statement said, visited the affected areas of Bokkos and Barkin- Ladin where they held a stakeholders’ meeting with the people of the affected communities.

They also paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang where they held a fruitful discussion on how to stamp out insecurity in the State.

While condoling the people of the affected communities, Dr Matawalle reassured them of the Federal Government’s commitment to fighting all forms of criminalities that have bedevilled communities and the nation in general.

“Mr President has directed that we visit you people and to reassure you that the military will restore peace in the affected communities and that the perpetrators of this dastardly act will be arrested,” he said.
