The national Chairman of Action Democratic Party, ADP, who also dubbed as the presidential candidate of the party in the February 25th presidential election has taken a swipe at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for raising the hope of Nigerians before the election but deliver so little in expectations.
Sani who was on Channels Television Politics Today anchored by Seun Okinbaloye noted that despite the high hope that Nigerians had, the Commission dash the hope saying that could be reason why those who felt cheated are calling for the interim government which in his opinion should not be the way out rather the courts.
He said that as democrats he will never be part of anything that will scuttle the Democratic process adding that people charge with responsibility should be made accountable for their actions so that people won’t have reason to resort to self help.

According to him: ” The election itself was not conducted in a manner that most Nigerians expected it to be conducted. So if anything like this is happening like people are calling for undemocratic means of government, it is because the agency that is supposed to conduct the election didn’t meet the expectations of the people. They raise the expectation of Nigerians too high and they deliver so little.
” This is why the agency like the DSS has come out or the police or somebody to say what this people did is not right. I am not in any way supporting the interim government or undemocratic system they want.
” But the people charge with responsibility should be accountable for it. As democrats, we don’t want anything that will scuttle what we are doing. Let the process takes its course. Let the courts do the needful.
” The court should not rely on technicalities because it doesn’t make sense to.an average Nigerian. What it tells Nigerians is that you are trying to hide something. Or doing something that is not in tune with the expectations of the people”, he stated.
