A fire outbreak on Sunday morning destroyed the home of Mariya Mahmoud, the Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in the Asokoro district of Abuja.
This was confirmed by the acting director of the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo.
He said the fire started around 9:45 a.m. and engulfed the entire first floor of the two-storey building.
According to him, no one was injured or killed in the incident, as the minister and her family members were not at home at the time of the fire.
