Fire outbreaks cause economic setbacks – Fire Service Director
The Director of Kwara Fire Service, Mr Falade Olumuyiwa, has urged Nigerians to always abide by safety tips to prevent fire outbreaks and flooding from being experienced in some parts of the country.
Olumuyiwa gave the advice in Ilorin on Wednesday while speaking with newsmen on the spike of fire outbreaks and flooding in various parts of the country.
According to him, several fire outbreaks and flooding which have rendered several Nigerians homeless are preventable, if safety tips are adhered to by the people
The expert said most of the disasters are caused by human errors and failure to abide by safety measures.

Olumiyiewa lamented that several fire outbreaks and flooding recorded in various parts of the country caused serious economic setbacks.
The director called for the proper management of dams across the nation to curb annual incidents of flooding.
He, therefore, advised Nigerians to desist from erecting structures along flood-prone areas to save lives and property.
