Ododo: Austin Okai regains freedom

Kogi-born political activist and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Austin Okai has regained his freedom from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Okai was arrested by operatives of the DSS following a petition by Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo who said the PDP chieftain accused him of mismanagement of state funds.
Since his arrest in February, Okai has remained behind bars.
However, his release was made public on Friday by activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, in a post he made on Facebook.
“We are thrilled to announce that Usman Okai Austin is now free and reuniting with his loved ones. Shame on Gov Ododo of Kogi state and the lawless DSS for their illegal and despicable actions!” Sowore wrote.
