
Five men were on Tuesday docked in a Karu Grade I Area Court, Abuja for allegedly belonging to a gang of thieves.
The police charged Adamu Muhammed, Aminu Ali, Abubakar Adamu, Lukman Usman, and Ali Musa with criminal conspiracy and belonging to a gang of thieves.
They pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecution Counsel, Mr. Olarewaju Osho, told the court that the defendants were arrested and taken to the Asokoro Police station on Feb. 2.
He added that the police were reliably informed by members of the public that the defendants specialize in snatching cell phones and other crimes.

The offense, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 306 of the Penal Code.
The judge, Malam Inuwa Maiwada, admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N100,000 each with one surety in like sum.
Maiwada adjourned the case until March 18 for a hearing.
